Chase UPDATE

April 10, 2014

At this hour, Oconee sheriff’s officers continue to look for a 27-year old man who is their suspect in a stolen vehicle case. The pursuit of that individual, identified by the Sheriff’s Office as Curtis Justin Bearden, ended with an accident this morning near Seneca, on the Dave Nix Road. The Sheriff’s Office hopes members of the public can help provide information as to Bearden’s whereabouts, but the public is warned not to approach the suspect as he is considered armed and dangerous, according to Sheriff Mike Crenshaw. The 1996 Chevy Tracker that the suspect driver left behind has been seized by the Sheriff’s Office, but the driver continues to elude the party of searchers.
