Chick Fil-A Hosting Shred Day

If you’ve been busy with spring cleaning and you need a safe way to shred your personal documents, Chick Fil-A of Clemson is teaming up with Crosspoint Church for a community shred day. The parking lot of Crosspoint Church will be open Wednesday May 1 from 10 am to 2 pm for the SHRED 360 event.  Shredding of personal documents is an effective way of preventing identity theft. The  Federal Trade Commission says its Consumer Sentinel Network received nearly 370,000 complaints of identity theft last year. For 13 years in a row, identity theft is the number 1 complaint received by the FTC.  However the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners cautions those statistics may be understated because some agencies do not share complaints of identity theft with the FTC.  Learn more about the SHRED 360 events by visiting www.shred360.com.
