Children placed with family member, parents arrested

The parents of two children have been arrested by the Oconee Sheriff’s Office and charged with unlawful neglect of a child. Deputies say the children are now with a family member. The Sheriff’s Office identified Rhonda Faye Lecroy and Robert Allen Lecroy of Wetoda Road near the Martin Creek Road as having been arrested and charged Wednesday. The sheriff’s Office issued this statement: “Both parents have been charged with two separate counts of unlawful neglect for exposing their two children, ages 13 and 5, to marijuana. According to Narcotics Agents from the Sheriff’s Office, the parents were drug tested by the Department of Social Services October 27th.” The parents have since been released from jail on personal recognizance bonds.
