Church Folk exhibit centers on African-American experience

“You can’t talk about the African-American experience without first starting in the church,” says Shelby Henderson about the Church Folk exhibit on display at the Bertha Lee Strickland Cultural Museum in Seneca.  Henderson, the museum manager, says the exhibit details church life and importance of the church in the African-American community.  The Church Folk exhibit remains on display thru Thursday, December 22 at the museum, 208 W-S 2nd Street.  Hours are 11-4 Tuesdays thru Saturdays.  Admission is free.
