Church granted extension

A Walhalla church has been granted an extension by the Oconee School Board of Trustees for the temporary use of the local high school for its church services. Golden Corner congregants have been worshipping at Walhalla High School while a contractor completes work on a sanctuary. But last night the Rev. Mark Bagwell, the pastor, told the county trustees that the builder, KM Services, will need additional time to complete the job. The board extended the church’s use of the high school facilities until March 15.
