Clemson considers zoning and traffic changes

Clemson will invite public comment this month on proposed changes to traffic patterns and to the city’s zoning law.  A City Council public hearing is set 6:30 Monday night, July 20 at City Hall to consider converting Hedgerow Lane to a one-way street.  The police chief and the public works director both recommend traffic flow from Wigington toward Oak streets.  Other changes to be considered at the hearing involve the zoning law and include exceptions to the maximum height for a structure and the rules pertaining to short-term rentals in residential neighborhoods.  Documents pertaining to what’s on the agenda are available at the Planning and Codes Administration Department, Monday-Friday, 8 a-m to 5 p-m or at www.cityofclemson.org.
