Clemson golf superintendent renews certification

The certified golf superintendent at the Walker Course at Clemson University, Donald Garrett Jr., has completed the renewal process for maintaining his elite status with the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America. Garrett has been at the Walker Course since 1999 and is a 28-year member of the national association. In order to maintain certified status, course superintendents are required to complete a renewal process every five years. A candidate must take part in 150 hours of continuing education and professional development.
