Jimmy Whitfield The first-year administration of Oconee Sheriff Mike Crenshaw draws attention today to a cold case that has remained unsolved for more than 25 years. It’s the case of a missing man—Jimmy Whitfield who, in 1987, received mail on a Route Three, Seneca address. According to Jimmy Watt, spokesman for the sheriff’s office, Whitfield gathered some cash and other items and left his home. Though he did call back to check on his children, Whitfield was never seen again. If you have information that can help solve the case of the missing Jimmy Whitfield, you can call Crimestoppers (864/638-STOP) and qualify for a cash reward.
