Freshman Gee McGhee tallied a game-high 16 points and Chattanooga forced Furman into 20 turnovers as the Mocs topped the short-handed Paladins, 83-49, in Southern Conference men’s basketball action on Thursday night at the McKenzie Arena.

South Carolina (12-12, 2-9 SEC) fell to LSU (14-8, 5-6 SEC) 64-46 at Colonial Life Arena. The Gamecocks were balanced in the scoring column, with senior forward Lakeem Jackson recording a team-high 10 points.

Clemson earned its first ACC road win of the season and defeated Georgia Tech for the seventh straight time in the series on Thursday at McCamish Pavilion, with a hard-fought 56-53 triumph over the Yellow Jackets. Clemson improved to5-7 in the ACC.
