Community rally for Walhalla girl

The community is being asked to rally for a Walhalla seventh grader in need of a liver transplant. Band parents and members of three churches are planning a hot dog sale for Haleigh McAlister Saturday, April 13 from 10 a-m to 2 p-m at Keowee-Ebenezer Fire Department. Haleigh has been diagnosed with the liver disease Bilary Atresia. All proceeds go to the family for medical expenses. The seventh grader is a Girl Scout, active in her church youth group, loves animals, reading, swimming, taking piano lessons. Each week she and her family travel to Charleston for treatments.
