Construction suspended for worker’s funeral

Work on the project at Seneca’s water plant was suspended yesterday for the funeral in Liberty of the 54-year old worker who died Friday at a Greenville hospital. Coroner Karl Addis said Charles Austin Keeler died Friday morning in the neuro-trauma unit at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Keeler was hospitalized after a fall November 19 from a scissors lift onto a concrete pad at the construction site. In the meantime, according to Seneca utilities superintendent Bob Faires, inspectors from Occupational Safety and Health return to the water plant work site for a second time today in their investigation of the incident. Addis says he has ruled Keeler’s death an accident.
