Copper taken from WHS construction site

Some time Wednesday night or early Thursday thieves raided the construction project for the new Walhalla High School. Their take amounted to 273 feet of copper—worth more than $2 thousand. Jimmy Watt, spokesman for the Oconee Sheriff’s Office, quotes investigators as saying the theft occurred in a part of the new school building and copper was removed from the walls.
