Corbeil and Cammick make Salem campaign stop

With the agreement of the candidates, some of the usual formalities of political forums were laid aside and last night’s event in Salem proceeded in a way that allowed the crowd to get to better know the two hopefuls this year for Seat One, Oconee County Council. Paul Corbeil and Edda Cammick brought their campaigns to downtown Salem. On some issues, the two Republicans sang out of the same or similar hymn book. On others, however, there were differences and distinctions. In some instances, a little bit of sparring between the two. Salem Town Attorney Brad Norton liked what he saw and heard. As the moderator for last night, Norton congratulated both for their conduct. And the evening ended as the two candidates shook hands. The audience applauded.
