Council enlists the Sheriff’s help

In the next two weeks, Oconee County Council will rely on Sheriff Mike Crenshaw to come up with decibel readings at various places across the county.  The council will look to Crenshaw to provide the benchmark data that will allow them to decide how loud is too loud.  As the council decides the limits that should go in the noise law they heard again from Jim Bennett of the Tiki Hut and from a complaining neighbor, Gary Littlefield.  The council is also weighing the effect that strict noise levels might have on the county’s quest to further develop its tourism reach when it comes to outdoor concerts.
