Council members to see the emails

The courts have decided a pair of zoning challenges that members of the public mounted against Oconee County and some of its officials. But in their aftermath there remain lingering concerns, according to some members of the Oconee County Council. And they, particularly Paul Cain and newly-elected chairman Wayne McCall, want to see emails that were written while the cases were awaiting resolution. McCall said he once asked for the emails, but was told he could not see them. A lawyer, Cain said he has detected concern on the parts of the public about what may have been written in the emails. A motion by Cain, seconded by McCall, passed 5 to 0. It’ll be up to County Administrator Scott Moulder and his staff to track the emails and provide them to the council members.
