County leaders react to Seneca mayor’s appeal

Dan Alexander, the Seneca mayor, took a moment from his remarks Friday celebrating grand opening of the city’s new electric transit facility to appeal for Oconee County to start bus passenger service. Alexander made his appeal as he looked into an audience that included a handful of county leaders. After the ceremony, we asked two of the county officials about the potential for expanded bus service. Both of them indicate it’s going to depend on whether people will ride the buses and whether the county can afford it.
