Couple charged with theft at police officer’s home

An Oconee County couple has been arrested and charged with stealing from the home of a Walhalla police officer. The Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrests of Christopher William Underwood and Brandi Nicole Underwood of the Theo Martin Road. They were charged with grand larceny and first degree burglary at mid-afternoon on Tuesday at the police officer’s home on Oliver Road. Mr. Underwood was also charged with unlawful carrying of a firearm. A deputy sheriff said the investigation revealed that weapons, electronic items and law enforcement identification were taken. Most of the stolen items were recovered.
