They may be the defending Super Bowl champions, but they didn’t show it last night (September 5th), as the New York Giants were defeated 24-17 by the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL season opener at the Giants’ home MetLife Stadium. Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo threw for 307 yards, including three touchdown passes, while Giants QB Eli Manning had 213 yards with one touchdown, but was sacked three times.
