Crenshaw grateful for the public’s support

In a difficult time for law enforcement nationwide, the Oconee County sheriff is saying thank you to the public for its expressions of support and its deeds of good toward his men in blue.  Sheriff Mike Crenshaw, in an open letter to Oconee County residents, expresses gratitude to individuals, businesses, organizations and churches who have reached out to his office with demonstrations of appreciation.  Crenshaw said, “It has been a difficult time for law enforcement across our nation but I believe it is the best time to be a law enforcement officer because the men and women who wear the badge have the opportunity to show our citizens and the general public that their officers who serve them are porfessional and exhibit high standards of good conduct and character in the performance of their duties every day as they work to keep Oconee County safe.” Crenshaw, who is on next month’s ballot unopposed for a second term, said he is committed to providing deputies the best training, equipment and a fair salary to keep them safe and dedicated to the law enforcement profession.  “In turn, he said, “I maintain high standards of accountability in expecting our staff to keep our citizens safe.”
