Crenshaw to neighbors: “Bear with us.”

Oconee County officials have been receiving inquiries this week from concerned Walhalla residents that the height of the new jail will actually be higher than they’ve been led to believe. But Sheriff Mike Crenshaw is asking patience from those residents because, the sheriff says, he is getting assurance from the contractor that the finished building will actually be lower than the current Law Enforcement Center. What apparently has ignited neighbors’ concern is the height of the ground left following the grading.
