Crescent parts with Lake Keowee land

The company that handles Duke Energy lakefront property has sold 500 acres in Oconee County, and those who live in the West Union vicinity of Lake Keowee are wondering today what the buyer has in mind.  Oconee land transaction records show the properties, in two tracts, were sold last week by Cresent Communities to a land holding company with a Murphy, North Carolina address for $5.5 million.  That deal was followed the next day when the buyer, Kiwi Holdings, rec-conveyed the acreage to limited liability companies–Murphy Lake South and Cinque Lake North.  Cinque is a South Carolina-based LLC.
