CU, GHS agree to research powerhouse

Clemson University and Greenville Health System are establishing what they call a healthcare research powerhouse to fuel growth in medical research and breaththroughs, create opportunities for faculty, physicians and students and accelerate the flow of research into the Upstate. The collaboration, announced today, will target job-creating start up businesses in the Upstate’s medical and bio-engineering hub. The agreement will support additional opportunities to Clemson faculty to engage in health and medical research and open the door to more federal research funding by partnering with physicians and surgeons at GHS.
