CU professor focuses on Libya’s higher education future

Darren Linville An assistant professor of communication studies at Clemson, Darren Linvill, joined colleagues from around the world to discuss the future of the educational system in the mid east country of Libya. The conference that Linvill participated in took place in Turkey. He was one of five scholars from U-S institutions. In the aftermath of the Arab Spring, Middle East countries are working to restore civil institutions from the bottom up. Linvil and his colleagues in Istanbul explored such issues as international cooperation and exchange with Libyan higher education, education and the Libyan economy and improving Libyan curriculum and assessment.
