Day: Time for the talk to end

Chairman Danny Day of the Oconee Library Board of Trustees declared in Seneca last night the time is fast approaching to stop the talking and the studying and to make a final decision on where to build that city’s replacement library. At the board’s first 2013 meeting, Day addressed the library board and welcomed four new members who are going to take part in the decision. But, according to Day, simply deciding where to build will be far from seeing the project through. The chairman admitted that the library system has no money to build the new Seneca library and will rely on the Oconee County Council. Day and Library Director Phillip Cheney plan to make a 10-minute presentation during County Council’s February 5 meeting.
