Death claims 10th Circuit Solicitor

Word has been received of the death of Chrissy Adams, the 10th Circuit Solicitor in Oconee and Anderson counties.  She fought cancer and had intended to complete her current term, which expires in a couple of weeks, before retiring.  Early this year she announced her plan to retire.  In the election process that followed Adams’ deputy solicitor in Oconee, David Wagner, emerged victorious and is scheduled to take the oath of office January 11 to start his four-year term.  Adams, a Seneca resident, took office in 2005—becoming the only Oconeean to serve as Solicitor since the late Howard Ballenger in the 1960s and 70s.
