Defendant Morris completes testimony

One of the defendants in the civil lawsuit alleging water intrusion at a Lake Keowee townhouse development testified today in the Oconee Common Pleas Court. Mel Morris, part owner of a construction company, was the first of the multiple defendants to take the stand. Morris was called by the plaintiffs’ side. Waiting in the wings is Derek Hodgin, an engineer hired by the plaintiffs to evaluate the conditions of their townhomes and recommend what should be done to make them right. Hodgin may take the stand as early as after today’s lunch break.
