Delegation elects new DOT commissioner

The state Legislative Delegation of the Third Congressional District has elected a new member to the South Carolina Department of Transportation Commission. He’s Greenwood resident Ben Davis Jr., retired president/CEO of the Connie Maxwell Children’s Home, a former Fountain Inn mayor, and former owner of one newspaper and two radio stations. The meeting, at which Davis was elected, was attended by State Senator Thomas Alexander, Oconee-Pickens Republican.
