Deputies patrolled lake access area on foot

Deputies who patrolled Oconee County’s Fall Creek access area on foot last weekend wrote citations and made an arrest. All of this as part of “Operation Family Friendly”—an operation that Sheriff Crenshaw says is aimed at doing everything possible to make the county’s parks safe for people to enjoy. Three citations were written for littering and drug violations and 14 written for having open alcohol container in the setting of a park or recreation area. A 22-year old Greenville man, William Antonio Bautista, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.
