Deputies receive Life Savers Award

Two Oconee County deputies have been recognized for their part in saving the life of a Seneca woman trapped in the wreckage from a car accident.  Justin Pelfrey and Rashad Crooks last week received the Life Savers Award for their search and the eventual location of the wreck victim who wound up down a steep embankment the night of June 30.  Pelfrey and Crooks also received an award from the Keowee Fire Department.  The injured woman, flown to a Greenville hospital, spent weeks in the hospital and continues to recover from her injuries.
