Deputies take tourniquet training

 Oconee County deputy sheriffs have completed tourniquet training with the kits that all certified deputies now carry. Those kits contain a tourniquet, bandages and other materials that can be used to treat wounds—whether it is their wounds, fellow deputies’ wounds or other individuals. During training sessions by Tactical Medical Solutions of Anderson, the Oconee deputies learned the proper way to apply tourniquets to body limbs and the best places to apply tourniquets to other parts of the body.
