Development Corporation in the work

The creation of a Development Corporation is in the works for Walhalla.  At a meeting last night, Mayor Danny Edwards suggested the formation of a committee that would help downtown merchants acquire grant money for façade work on their buildings.  Members of the corporation would include the city administrator, the mayor or the mayor pro-tem, the chairman of the city’s general government committee, and representatives of the chamber of commerce and the Oktoberfest committee.
