Devoe to bring New Orleans to Walhalla

A soprano schooled in voice training in New Orleans returns to Walhalla to give a performance in opera and jazz. She’s Catie Devoe, a former Walhalla High student who is to graduate this spring from Loyola University. Devoe’s performance is planned 8 o’clock Friday night, June 13 at Walhalla Civic Auditorium, and tickets will be available. At Walhalla, Devoe was one of John Fallon’s choral students who went onto the Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities. At Loyola, she has sung with the New Orleans Opera Company and has continued her vocal studies with private lessons, both in New Orleans and Europe. She’s the daughter of David and Frances Guldner Devoe and granddaughter of Frank and the late Dorothy Thode Guldner.
