Difference between a “want” and a “need”

An intern who went to work for the Oconee Chamber of Commerce is part of a new generation from big city life who doesn’t drive and who, instead, relies on public transportation.  And that’s how the intern gets to work from one side of Seneca to  the other.  So, it occurred today to Jillian Lusk, executive director of the chamber, to ask if there is a possibility that Seneca’s “CAT” buses will be expanded from a weekday service to include the weekends.  Because without weekend runs this weekday bus rider is confined to his apartment.  Seneca’s Ed Halbig says there simply isn’t the demand for it, and he called the weekend service a want instead of a need.  Still Lusk says it’s her hope that the idea will eventually be pursued, partly to help develop the project to make the city and the county a destination place for tourists.
