Dillingham, Oglesby, help Daniel race past Columbia

Clemson commit Jae’lon Oglesby rushed for 162 yards on 14 carries and found the endzone one time in Daniel’s 49-6 win over the Columbia Capitals Friday night. Oglesby rushed for 143 first-half yards in WGOG’s Game of the Week, and was played only sparingly in the early stages of the third quarter. That is when he tallied his only score of the night on a 17-yard scamper to cap a 3 play, 54 yard drive that put the Lions up 42-6. WGOG’s Blue Ridge Bank Player of the Game was Jared Dillingham who was responsible for the first three Daniel scores, the first two being 24 and 25 yard passes from Andy McCall, before scoring on a 10-yard rush. Daniel added scores from Austin Barnes, Andy McCall, and Dante Gilliard. Daniel, the #1-ranked 3A team in South Carolina, begins region play in Western AAA next Friday as the travel to Westminster to take on West-Oak.

Elsewhere on Friday, Seneca broke its losing streak to Westside with a 27-0 win, while Walhalla collected an 11-6 win over Liberty on the road.
