Dinner to celebrate Oconee agriculture

A dinner next month in OconeeCounty farm country is an annual event that draws attention to the hard work that the county’s farmers put in to produce food that winds up on the table.  The Oconee Soil and Water Conservation District Celebration of Agriculture Banquet takes place at 6:30 Thursday, November 13 in the fellowship hall of the SouthUnionBaptistChurch, and tickets at $10 dollars are available until November 7.  You can send a check to Eddie Martin, District Manager, Oconee Soil and Water Conservation District, 301 WS Broad Street, Walhalla, SC  29691.  The menu November 13 will be roast beef and fried chicken, sides, dessert and tea.
