Authorities in Rabun County, Georgia are investigating an allegation of disabled person abuse. EMS, the Mountain City police, and Rabun County sheriff’s officers last Wednesday investigated the assault of a Clayton adult female. Authorities quote witnesses as saying the woman’s injuries occurred the day before. Rabun sheriff’s officer Gerald Johnson admits being emotionally affected by what he discovered. Multiple agencies and professionals are being consulted as part of the case and a referral has been made to the Georgia Department of Adult Protective Services. Sky 104 Radio in Clayton reports more than six thousand people have joined a Facebook group created to support the victim.
