Distracted driving law proposed in OC

February 17, 2014

Oconee’s second-year sheriff intends to ask the County Council for a county-wide law that forbids distracted driving. And it won’t cover simply texting and driving. It’ll require hand-free cell phone use while a vehicle is in motion. Sheriff Crenshaw gave details today of the ordinance that he has drafted, and the details are being aired today on 96.3/WGOG NEWS.
