Drought impact on cattlemen’s earnings

The continuous dry conditions have forced some Oconee County cattle farmers to sell early, and that impacts the earnings of those engaged in one of the county’s top agricultural pursuits.  Pat Williams, president of the Oconee Cattlemen’s Association, says, so far, he has not been forced to sell early, though he knows of others who have because their pastures aren’t producing enough hay to feed the cows for the winter.
