Drug arrests made in traffic stop near West Union

Three people have been arrested on drug charges as part of an early morning traffic stop near West Union. It happened on the Ebenezer Road shortly before 2:30 a-m Monday when a deputy saw a small car cross the white line as it turned onto Country Junction Road. The Sheriff’s Office alerted the deputy that the tag on the car came back suspended. Deputies wound up confiscating what they report as about $320 worth of methamphetamine, about $150 dollars in prescription pills, and about $125 dollars worth of heroin. Three people, including the driver, were arrested on multiple charges. The Sheriff’s Office identified the arrested as Harvey Ray Ensley, 57, of West Union; Tequila Ann McAlister, 37, of Walhalla; and Whitney Jewell Harper, 25, of West Union.
