Drug charges made on the Clemson campus

Clemson campus police arrested a 23-year-old Anderson man yesterday on felony drug charges.  Justin Christopher Battaglia, who is not a Clemson student or employee, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession with intent to distribute marijuana within proximity of a school, both felonies. According to a university announcement, he also was charged with driving under the influence and having an open container in a vehicle. Battaglia was arrested about 1 a.m. during a traffic stop on Highway 93 near Highway 76. He was released on a $16,492 personal recognizance bond.
