Drug suspect ran across four-lane highway

May 31, 2013

The police have confirmed that one suspect wanted in this week’s drug roundup ran across four-lane 123 between Seneca and Clemson, but  later apprehended a few miles away, along with another suspect, on the porch of a home in the Utica area. Chief John Covington said there was never any foot chase involved in what happened yesterday morning near the 7-Eleven (formerly Palms) convenience store. By late this morning, the count of suspects in custody remained 25.
