Duncan disputes Obama’s explanation

Jeff Duncan, the Third District congressman, doesn’t accept President Obama’s explanation that a payment of $400 million dollars to Iran was a settlement of  a dispute over a failed military equipment deal that dates back prior to the Islamic revolution in that mideast country.  Republican Duncan issued a statement that reads in part, “I want to know who in Congress was informed of this before bundles of cash were put on an unmarked cargo plane and sent to the mullahs in Iran. If anyone should be paying money it should be the Ayatollah for holding Americans hostage. Instead, the President is incentivizing foreign governments and terrorist groups to kidnap Americans and demand ransom, then to use that money that he willfully gives over to kill Americans….”
