Duncan part of GOP opposition to Gitmo closing

President Obama wants the chapter closed on the detention center at Guantanamo Bay, but he’s facing Republican opposition to the proposal to re-locate detainees to the U-S.  Third District Republican Jeff Duncan is especially concerned about the idea that some of those detainees, accused of violent acts against the U-S, could wind up in South Carolina.  Duncan announced yesterday legislation that gives the House the authority to sue the Obama administration should it violate or try to violate the law covering detainee transfers.
