Duncan talks energy production with Interior Secretary

A committee hearing at Washington gave Congressman Jeff Duncan the chance to talk Atlantic Ocean energy production with Sally Jewell, the U-S Secretary of the Interior. The occasion yesterday was a hearing on President Obama’s budget proposal for the Interior Department. Duncan, the Third District Republican from Laurens, raised questions about production, permitting of seismic testing, and making the Atlantic part of the administration’s five-year lease program. Duncan said he was encouraged by what he called Jewell’s commitment to more forward. “Opening up the Atlantic OCS for energy production will provide a world of opportunity for our state and nation,” Duncan said.
