Echo Hills recommendation

Phase one work to cost about $2.4 million dollars. At its meeting Tuesday, Oconee County Council will consider a staff recommendation to award a contract for all site work in phase one of Echo Hills. Recommended for the job is the company Phillips and Jordan of Robbinsville, North Carolina. As part of the work within the 54-acre phase one project, there is to be grading for two building pads, two roadways and the widening of SC 11. The property is envisioned by county leaders as a new part to attract economic development. Also, on council’s agenda Tuesday is a recommendation to authorize $7 thousand of Local A-TAX funds to the U-S Army Corps of Engineers to assist with the review process of tourism product development opportunities on Lake Hartwell and Sanctuary Pointe.
