EDC to coordinate with JRSA

Bob Winchester is just the guy that Richard Blackwell is going to confer with when it comes to a couple of potential economic development projects affecting eastern Oconee County near Clemson. Blackwell is the Oconee economic development director and Winchester the director of the Oconee Joint Regional Sewer Authority. This morning Blackwell announced a company is interested in the vacant textile building last occupied by Jacobs Manufacturing. He also said that part of nearby property recently acquired by the church New Spring is being designated for a retail development. “We don’t want to do something once with a sewer lift station and then have to come back again and move it again,” Blackwell said this morning.
