“Elbow Grease” production moves ahead

Technology courtesy of the internet is allowing the assembling of all that was filmed in Oconee last summer into what’s hoped to be a big screen production. We spoke last week with Shelby Henderson, casting director and association producer of Elbow Grease. “We are in the post-production phase. We’ve done two rough cuts, working on the third, hopefully the final,” Henderson told us. She says the timeline calls for having Elbow Grease by the end of next month. The plan is to premiere the movie in Seneca. However, a distribution deal apparently in one important component still to be secured. The comedy, based on a Southern family, created excitement in Oconee for its shooting of local scenes and individuals, as well as some scenes that included Burt Reynolds.
