Electric buses to debut next week

The official date for Seneca to make the switch from gas diesel passenger buses to electric buses remains January 6. And on Monday next week the four electric buses will start to pick up passengers for rides throughout the “CAT” bus service area in Seneca and between Seneca and Clemson. Meantime, Seneca has decided to add a fifth electric bus to its fleet. During last night’s special meeting, the city council voted to apply $900 thousand worth of grant money to make the purchase, on the recommendation of City Administrator Greg Dietterick.
