Electric power outage UPDATE

A spokeswoman for Duke Energy projects 2:30 this afternoon will the time that all service is restored in the West Union area.  A traffic accident that broke a pole late this morning at West Union Road and Old S.C. 28 was one thing, but strands of  electric lines left sagging was another.  And that’s why, according to Duke’s  Sandra McGee, that it became necessary for the power company to take down the circuit.  That resulted in a number of scattered outages that are affecting certain businesses and other customers this afternoon.  No one reported hurt in the 11:07 a-m accident of a car and a transfer truck.
