Emergency funds to arrive in 90 days

Eight Oconee County programs that help the disadvantaged can count on emergency money to arrive from the federal government in about 90 days. The eight services will share in more than $28 and a half thousand dollars from FEMA—Federal Emergency Management Assistance. According to Oconee United Way, the following programs will benefit: utility help from the Oconee Presbyterian Service Fund; rent assistance thru “SHARE”; diaper distribution by Family Friends; bed linen and cleaning supplies for Our Daily Rest; and food assistance for Golden Harvest, Salvation Army, We Care Community Services, and Golden Corner Ministries Food Bank.
